Changes in process conditions, and other wear and tear take their toll on a liquid meter's performance, proving the meter becomes an important preventative measure. Frequent calibrations can not only find a meter giving away product, but it also checks the performance (Repeatability, Linearity and Meter Factor shift). If the performance criteria are not met, it is an indication that general meter service is required. A neglected meter can lead to product losses and costly repairs.
 
Trillium Measurement & Control provides Liquid Meter flow calibrations in two ways: In-house, or On-site, using our Trailer mounted Daniel® Compact Prover™. This device is traceable to Measurement Canada (Weights & Measures) and is a recognized Primary Standard.

In-House Meter Proving
 
Our Liquid Flow Lab provides the versatility to calibrate most liquid flow metering devices. A water/glycol proving liquid provides a kerosene like viscosity but maintains a density of water. Our technical staff are familiar with  a wide variety of meter types and manufacturers and can easily adapt to any first time devices.
 
    •    Flows to 1,750 LPM
    •    Calibrate in Mass or Volume (KG, Lbs, LPM, USGPM, IGPM...)
    •    Detailed Electronic Proving reports include meter performance curves
    •    All calibrated devices are affixed with a calibration sticker before being shipped back to customer.
    •    Meter types calibrated include Turbine, Positive Displacement, Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Vortex, Mag meter, and Rotameters.
 
On-Site Meter Proving
 
    •    Flows to 3,780 LPM
    •    Adjust meters to Prover linearity of ±0.02%
    •    Products include: Gasoline, Oils, Ethanol and LPG
    •    Marketing Terminal Load Rack Metering equipment
    •    LPG Bulk Terminals & Bulk Delivery Truck meters
    •    Detailed Electronic Proving reports include meter performance curves
    •    Meter curve history is maintained to analyze trends.
